Reading update 2026-10-05
An update on what I’m reading. I was doing it every week, but I’m going to update it when I move on to something new. I had a tough week last week with a lot of travel. I got through a lot of the audiobook, and I finally wrote a new article on WTF.
On Anger (De Ira) by Seneca
Dungeon Crawler Carl Book 5: The Butcher’s Masquerade by Matt Dinniman - Damn, these books are so good.
Managing the Professional Service Firm by David Maister (Audiobook) - PSA: Spotify Premium includes 15 hours of audiobooks per month. These generally take me longer to get through than regular books as mainly listen to them in the car.
Shahsuvaryan, M. L. (2026). Metformin as an emerging candidate for diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration and glaucoma pharmacotherapy: Evidence and perspectives. Current Reviews in Clinical and Experimental Pharmacology. Advance online publication. doi.org/10.2174/0127724328519947260917114932 (This is the article I’m reading to write about on What the Fundus)
The Daily Stoic by Ryan Holiday - I read from this book every day and recommend it to everyone who is struggling with sorting out their thoughts. I don’t know how many years I have been reading it. It is divided up with a Stoic axiom each day. So if you miss a day here and there, no big deal. You can just catch up on it next year.
